Changes to ad-free caretaker code

Hi, I have deployed a more comprehensive code snippet for ad-free caretakers. This should work better and includes the ability to remove ads that display before videos.

If there are any problems with your ad-free caretaker status, please reply here.

Seems my caretaker status has gone away and I’ve got ads populating everywhere

@Brock BeauchampI have an active Paypal subscription for silver, how do I cancel that so I can upgrade to Gold? When I go to the subscription page it says I must cancel my paypal subscription before I can change levels.

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago because I wanted the next renewal to go to a different credit card.  Could not figure out how to change it so I just clicked Cancel then waited until close to renewal and signed up again.  The end result was fine, but it did mean needing to remember, and overall wasn't as smooth as one would hope.  But ... ya know ... do I want TD spending scarce resources if that's what it takes to improve the interface?  Um, nope.

To be clear, I ****ING HATE the checkout process in this software package. It pisses me off literally every time I interact with it.

The good news is a massive upgrade is coming, hopefully at the All-Star break. And if that is broken like this, I'm going to dedicate real resources to fixing it.

This is what ChatGPT told me. Mind you, ChatGPT is a total meth head, and should not be trusted, but it's also decent and troubleshooting these kinds of questions.

1. Log in to PayPal.

2. Go to Settings.

3. Open Payments.

4. Click Subscriptions and saved businesses or Automatic Payments.

5. Select your site’s subscription.

6. Click Cancel or Stop automatic payments.
