CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Nice commentary. Thanks. How does Gibson look? Dominant?Nothing hit hard. He's working fairly quickly too.
CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Nothing hit hard. He's working fairly quickly too.I hit "submit" a split second before that hard grounder for a single. Shouldna known better.
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Woo-hoo, Mark from Grand Forks, ND with the car soup question. "what are the best cars for soup?"
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Not sure why but I just love saying "Jose Lobaton" Thanks for putting the hex on Gibson, there.
CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 "what are the best cars for soup?"Rice-burners?
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Now I lay me down to watchA Twins game that they do not botch. If I should die before they win,I pray the Lord to kick their shins.Amen. This losing streak is clearly your fault. Break out a better avatar and maybe they will reward you.
CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Strike-em-out, throw-em-out double play with Joe having to throw over the batter falling across the plate.
iastfan112 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Seeing Gibson pitch and reading Parker article earlier reminded me about some things Common said late last week: "Everyone was talking about Plouffe and Parmelee the same way as Buxton and Sano and we know how they turned out"(Ignoring the fact Plouffe as been at least decent). "Clearly the league has figured Gibson out" "Buxton is a showboat, he could have easily made that catch without diving"(referring to the catch from the televised game). "The bullpen is terrible".I live out of the Minneapolis radio market, is he really as clueless as he seemed or is it some sort of shtick/persona?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 "what are the best cars for soup?" Let's see... Vipers, Thunderbirds, Stingrays, Rams, Mustangs, Jaguars, Impalas, Cougars, Broncos and Beetles have protein.
big dog Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Strike-em-out, throw-em-out double play with Joe having to throw over the batter falling across the plate. Yeah, Dick said he thought the Twins might get a call on batter's interference if the runner were safe. Didn't look like the home plate ump called it right away, though I don't know if they make that call immediately.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 That was a shout out to diehard in case anyone missed the reference I unfortunately don't seem to have any sort of witty response.

My main computer is in the shop and I am limping along on this old backup machine. Just got the virtual memory rejiggered so it doesn't freeze up on every TD ad. It may be a while before I can attempt something as complex as an avatar.

B Richard Provisional Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Hey Joe... where you goin with that gun for an arm
big dog Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Let's see... Vipers, Thunderbirds, Stingrays, Rams, Mustangs, Jaguars, Impalas, Cougars, Broncos and Beetles have protein. Beetles are crunchy without requiring major straining. Plus they fit in a smaller pot.

We prefer questions like... Who was the first person to walk up to a cow and say I'm thirsty... I wonder if she'll mind?.
CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 "what are the best cars for soup?"Stew-de-baker? I'll see myself out.
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I am limping along on this old backup machine. a trs-80?
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Beetles are crunchy without requiring major straining. Citrucel has that same effect on me.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 a trs-80? I can only dream of such luxury.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I like how John McClane keeps saving bigger things. Skyscraper -> Airport -> New York City -> 'Murica -> The World (I'm assuming. Haven't actually seen Die Hard 5 yet. Russia?) Rumor has it that Die Hard 5 will feature aliens, and he won't need a world war 2 battleship to do it.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Who was the first person to walk up to a cow and say I'm thirsty... I wonder if she'll mind?. Probably right after seeing what happened to the guy who asked that of the bull.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 i'd like to get a ribbon for participating with a woman, but this leprosy. I haven't heard of the leprosy STD, but I have to think that has to be one of the worst.
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Stew-de-baker? I'll see myself out. wow. just...just... eichmann was charged for less.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I haven't heard of the leprosy STD, but I have to think that has to be one of the worst. Avoid, definitely. If she offers you a Hansen's job, say no thanks.

big dog Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 wow. just...just... eichmann was charged for less. I'm pretty sure that puns fall well short of the Holocaust in terms of outrages against humanity.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Wow, you use that line too? When he was very young, our younger son was very afraid of clowns - and I found that that joke did *not* improve his disposition in such situations. I had a coworker afraid of clowns. When he was away on a Hawaiian vacation, I replaced all the pictures of his hot wife and hot sisters with images I found googling the phrase "scary clowns". It didn't change his disposition either, though he and his chair nearly went through the wall between his and my office.

Brock is going to hate me for this, but if it's a really old and slow machine I recommend using Firefox + the script block and adblocking extensions. Site performance (everywhere) will improve dramatically.
