I just don't get people ... I mean, wtf ... reaching for a ball in play.

 

I'm not actually watching the game so I don't know what happened, but in general I can't be critical of that. I might very well do the same thing. I know in my head to not interfere with play when the ball is still in the field. But when a baseball comes my direction in a game, I just instinctively reach for it...

 

We could ask Steve Bartman his thoughts.

I've seen him go the other way. I've seen him turn on triple digit heat in detroit from the left side. He's even getting better on breaking balls. This is not a 4th OF as some people have suggested

I've suggest 4th OF as his floor, considering Buxton, Arcia and Kepler may be the preferred starters. I'm just asking people to be realistic about their expectations for him.
