DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 I'm looking at Lee to see if he can start hitting like the prospect we thought we drafted. I already believe he's an OK, solid, SS. But where's the bat? I'm waiting for Lewis to become a leader with Correa gone and his bat FINALLY heating up. Matthews is worth watching! So is Festa! Or is Jeremy Nygaard right that Festa leads the teams in saves in 2026? Is Roden a better version of Larnach? More speed, as good or better of an arm, more range, similar power at this point but maybe a better all around player? How many young arms and which ones are you looking forward to seeing? DOES the FO get aggressive with a couple more promotions? Your call and opinion.
The Great Hambino Verified Member Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 I’d like to get a final verdict on some of the s-or-get-off-the-pot position players like Martin, Julien, even Outman. Play them now so they don’t have do to as much guessing next spring. If they, especially Outman, can’t show something the rest of the year, might be time to cut bait and let the next wave get those opportunities Also, since they’re relying pretty heavily on building a bullpen out of the spare parts remaining from their young rotation hopefuls, I’d like to see some of the rotation long shots like Ohl and maybe Adams get a crack at some one inning relief. See if they have something worth building on in that department; see if they have some stuff that could translate to a one-inning role Linus 1
lecroy24fan Verified Member Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 I'd like to see Abel and Bradley up sooner rather than later, even if it means working on the things the Twins want them to work on at AAA in the majors. Every time the Phillies were mentioned as a trade partner Abel was who I wanted back in a deal., knowing Painter was off the table. Bradley I've always been reserved but optimistic on his chances of being a middle of the pack SP and a fresh start could be what he needed. Aaron Sabato call up. Let's see what we have in the former 1st round pick. He's 26 so no reason to wait. Payton Eeles called up to be the backup IF. Feel good story. Fitzgerald and Gasper not in the future plans. Andrew Morris given a chance to throw some MLB innings. Maybe piggy back him with Abel or Bradley, or even Festa or SWR. Cody Lawyerson get a chance in the bullpen. Play the young guys and move on from the ones not in the future plans. Last thing is I'd like to see them play around .500 ball the rest of the way. Won't matter if they don't but just give us fans something decent to watch. EEDIT: One more thing please sent Julien back to St. Paul.
