NFL is a joke. Again. Didn’t they throw a facemask penalty “from upstairs” in our game? But they can’t buzz down and say it wasn’t a roughing the passer penalty? Get consistent!!

NFL really needs to get the penalty no penalty stuff sorted out. There’s one game going on right now. 15 yard penalties and long pass interference penalties should be quickly reviewed by a game official upstairs. No need to go to a booth. If the call is made correctly, fans would be ok with it

It's hard to take this league serious when the obvious missed penalties and obvious make believe penalties overwhelmingly favor the same team/teams week after week.

I don’t know how you miss the offsides. The roughing the passer, ok, but it should be corrected.

I truly think there is something to this, and I am hoping something will happen next week that will be too embarrassing to ignore, when KC plays whoever. (Still hoping for a Texans miracle today.)

Teams waste so much time trying to make sure the opponent doesn’t get the ball. End up hurting themselves

I don’t know. Everything happens so quickly in the NFL it’s got to be hard for officials to throw a game with intentional calls. But it looks bad

As much as I criticize the officials, they aren't throwing games. That's pretty much the only thing that could crash this runaway trillion dollar industry.

They go into a prevent offense by worrying about keeping the ball so much they prevent themselves from scoring

It is curious though how they can call a penalty like the other other day against the vikings with the facemask. They didn’t even throw a flag. Yes it was the right call. But how can they not alert the official that there was no roughing the passer? It was obviously not a penalty. It’s odd how they seem to just do whatever they want with no consistency. That was a massive poor call that led to points, KC doesn’t need help.

No I’m not talking about smoking gun evidence or entire officiating teams conspiring to fix games. More like officials questioning themselves out of fear of hurting the chances of a team everyone knows the NFL wants to see in the Super Bowl. The Patriots during the Brady years got tons of calls. The Packers under Rogers. The Chiefs are the new cool toy. It is a thing.

Agreed it's not consistent. And everyone's talking about it, which means that's probably the thing they'll emphasize next year.

And then they'll find something else to bungle.

It's a thing that is getting more and more obvious every year.  That's the problem.
