As always in the NFL HOF voting (and unlike every other sport), guys at the same position will take votes away from each other.

I hadn't remembered how good Luke Keuchly was, but I'd put money on him getting the LB votes over Suggs this year. Only 8 seasons, but five time 1st team AP, two times 2nd team AP and the year he didn't make AP he won defensive rookie of the year.

Then if Suggs is looked at as an edge rusher instead, I'd bet Allen gets his votes, mostly because this HOF makes you wait in line.

One of the offensive lineman will probably get in. I'd guess Willie Anderson since he's been a finalist 5 times.

Then I'd guess one of the WRs, and I'd guess Steve Smith or Reggie Wayne. I'll say Wayne because of the pecking order thing again.

I'll further guess that Jerry Jones throws his weight around to get the Cowboys their only win this year and Darren Woodson gets in.

Seems about right for Gates to get in as well.

And as good as Vinatieri was, I'm guessing they won't let a kicker get in on his first ballot.

My list would be Luke Keuchly, Willie Anderson, Jared Allen, Torry Holt, and Antonio Gates.

No way, no how should Eli Manning be a first ballot HOF player.

I don't see him getting close this year.

But he'll get in eventually, and it won't be popular. And I feel a bit bad about it as I was always an 'Eli is overrated guy'. But top 12 passing yards and TDs and two Super Bowl wins. Mostly he couldn't get out of Peyton's shadow. I kind of see him now as a Derek Jeter or Charles Barkley. I disliked them when they played, but I probably had little reason to other than because of the teams they played for.

People forget (I did too) how bad Eli was for the first few years of his career. He was on pace to get benched and replaced before the first miracle run to a Super Bowl. Personally I never thought of him as a top echelon QB in his era. He’s in the Kirk Cousins tier of being a top 15 ish QB but never a top 5 QB

Flounder rule's are Eli's only chance at 1st ballot.

Looks like Eli is at least making the ballot. I doubt he gets in though, at least not now. Terrell Suggs, Luke Kuechly, Marshal Yanda, Adam Vinatieri, Steve Smith, Eric Allen, Antonio Gates, Jahri Evans, Jared Allen, Reggie Wayne, Fred Taylor, Torry Holt, Willie Anderson and Darren Woodson.

Looks like we hit on most of these names in this thread. Final voting TBD. Looks like I picked six players in my above post but only five can get in (so stupid) so my bolded guys will be my parlay prediction (not what I'd want to happen, just what I think will happen). I'm swapping Evans for Anderson as my OL pick as it looks like Evans has ballot seniority and that seems to matter with this non-sense voting process.

Anderson, Gates, Kuechly, Vinatieri, Wayne, Wilfork are my predictions.

Yanda wasn't a household name, but he's my sleeper pick.  That dude was a monster.

My list is in good shape outside of Wilfork!
