I don't acknowledge a hockey team in Dallas.

I don't see a way in which those resemble the retro north stars jerseys other than the fact that both are green.

I agree with Kobs. No way those resemble they old North Star jerseys. If anything they are more like the old Hartford Whaler jerseys.

I didn't say they were replicas, but if you don't see the similar design elements to the last years of the North Stars and the first years in Dallas, then ok.

 

Hartford was green, that's about where it ends, they never had contrasting shoulders on any of their jerseys, never had a double sleeve stripe and used a much different striping pattern at the bottom. Plus I don't ever seem to recall the use of a star, always thought it was a W.

I wish that MN could have retained the North Star rights. I haven't lived in MN since the Wild were formed and I have never embraced them although I'm barely a hockey fan.

 

Those jerseys only look like UND. Too much green and the yellow was a distinguishing feature.

Remember the last year or two in Minnesota they were no longer the North Stars.

The problem with the Wild is not the name. It's that they have never drafted and developed a North American Star. When team USA plays in 2014 and you see 3 or 4 of our guys on the roster people will start to embrace the Wild.

Whether or not the name is the problem, North Stars is as much better than Wild as Justin Verlander is better than Jeff Gray.

Jerseys are much lighter on TV. It's one shade less of yellow and one shade more of blue than Kelly Green.
