Physics Guy Verified Member Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Well done once again Seth. I don't know how you find the time to keep up on the minor leagues so well.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 Thank you! The players deserve recognition, so I'm happy to do it!
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 DJ Baxendale? I thought he would have been a shoo-in to be in the top 4- in his 4 May starts in Ft Myers, 28 IP/0.00 ERA!/0.61 WHIP/7.39 K*9- and then promoted to AA.

AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I think you should have given it to Buxton, he was amazing this year. Just jokin...
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 It's true, I freely admit to being an unabashed-Buxton-booster. Regarding Baxendale...I'm bullish on his potential, too... Let's just say I'm a big Baxendale future back-end SP backer. Bux and Bax are going to be boffo...book it.
Tibs Verified Member Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 How soon could we see Tonkin pitching for the Twins?

Working those between draft articles this week.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 How soon could we see Tonkin pitching for the Twins? At this point, he could be an injury away. There aren't a lot of other 40 man roster options in the bullpen, certainly not with his kind of stuff... It'd be nice to get him a full month in Rochester and see how it goes. Looked good last night though!
goulik Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 I have to stand up for my prospect (or after last two weeks, former prospect)Having been promoted to the Majors I sort of understand the omission but since you did not even have a #5 on the list I think Caleb Thielbar deserved a little time. In 6 games for Rochester he pitched 9.1 innings giving up 4 hits and 5 walks while striking out 11. He had several holds and did not allow a single inherited runner to score. All the while allowing only 1 unearned run for a 0.00 ERA. I think that makes him top 5 and arguably top 3 if he wasn't now a major leaguer.
