Latest Era Committee HOF Candidates (Managers)

Yesterday, the "Era Committee" announced 8 candidates to be considered for next year's HOF class.

Among them, four managers, none of them named Tom Kelly:

Cito Gaston
Davey Johnson
Jim Leyland
Lou Piniella

Maybe Tom Kelly was already considered in previous years, and I missed it?

I don't have a beef with any of the above, but in particular, is Cito Gaston really more worthy than T.K.?

Gaston managed for 11+ years (articles states 13, but I only counted 11), tallied 894 wins and 2 WS Championships.

Kelly managed for 14+ years (many with awful teams), tallied 1140 wins and 2 WS Championships.

Tom Kelly has been considered and rejected in previous years.

I want to know what Ron Gardenhire thinks about having Cowboy Joe West on the ballot.

TK isn't going to get much consideration as his career winning percentage is below .500 and he had 8 consecutive years of losing teams. Not his fault, the payroll and roster building were atrocious after Andy McPhail got hired away. Kelly is my favorite manager of all time, but the national guys will pick the guys who won more and managed longer.

Leland and Piniella seem like the two most obvious choices, but those were two of MLB's most surely personalities, and HOF committee voters sometimes make these choices personal if they'd previously been rubbed the wrong way.
