Just popped in on thread to say scherzer again was a master , I guess I wasn't paying attention to  his pitch count , because I thought he would go another inning  ...

We got a lefthander and the Twins managed 3 runs with 2 homers going opposite field ...

Cleveland won their game so our bullpen  better not choke ...

We will lose this game and the way this team is managed on a game by game basis is getting very hard to watch.

I think I will take missing the playoffs if it gets this manager fired.

Scherz left his crap pitching with the Mets.  Happens alot.

I guess one could say Ryan is recently off the IL, but it wasn't for arm issues. So that shouldn't be a reason.

He had 1 minor league rehab start and last week's start against the Rangers.

name of this game was clearly Scherzer and Twins had zero chance. Bullpen comes in and Twins bats come alive. What a massive break for the good guys....so far. Our pen still has to get 6 outs.

Everyone is so wrapped up in the number of pitches as if that’s the be all end all. Dude had 4 out of 6 1-2-3 innings. Low stress. No big number innings. Polanco just homered so it shouldn’t matter but I cannot for one second believe another 10-15 pitches was going to reinjure the guy

On another positive note, I flew back to MPLS on a whirlwind 1 day trip to see the Gophers take on Nebraska. Well worth it, I'd say it was the 3rd best sporting event I've ever attended. The atmosphere at Huntington Bank Stadium was ... impossible to adequately describe. Completely nuts. 

 

Do yourself a favor and take in a Gopher game.
