The timelines suggested or predicted range from immediately to during the next few years. I don't follow the Saints closely enough to form my own opinion about his abilities or potential to succeed as a major league manager. So I'm opening this thread to give people a forum to discuss his qualities as a manager and to give reasons why he should or should not be named manager if and when Rocco Baldelli's tenure ends. Please refrain from discussing Baldelli; this is intended strictly to discuss Gardenhire.
