Great listen, and thoroughly love the “Caretaker Eyes” only content. The Mahle bit is interesting as is the talks on the trade deadline as well, should make for an interesting first half of the season!

Interesting point about Mahle's L/R splits.  I see now that the first 3 years of his MLB career he had rather extreme splits in the traditional direction - lefties tattooed him. Then suddenly it flipped, and for 3 years running it's the righties who make him look bad, and for the past 2 seasons like maybe he doesn't even belong in the majors when facing them, he's become that much of a LOOGY in disguise.

Reverse splits aren't usually sustainable, so this has been mighty weird.  Obviously it hasn't escaped his attention and he wants to do something about it.

Re: Mahle, Sorry, I haven't heard any talks of extensions, and I expect I won't at least until we get a better idea of what is going on with that shoulder.

 

RE: Gurriel and Voit - I wouldn't be shocked if they revist them both, but I think they're optimistic about Kirilloff for now.

We’ve seen comments here and there that Kirilloff is swinging freely … from what you see so far, is the optimism real?
