Top 3 remaining FA for the Twins

On the 15th, news broke that Carlos Rodon, the best remaining pitcher on the market, signed with the New York Yankees. 6 years/162MM (27MM/year). So what does this mean for the twins? 

 

The Twins had aspirations to snatch up a star. But once again, we failed. Here is the top 10 remaining FA as of December 16th:

Dansby Swanson

Rumors: Orioles, Red Sox 

Price: 20MM/2 years 

 

All these players are "Gettable" by the twins but will they get them?

Sign Swanson, trad Lewis before he get's injured again, or trade Polanco and play Farmer at 2nd.  Trade Kepler and sign Binentendi.  Trade Arraez(no position, and we have plenty of 1B candidates) and whoever for Lopez, sign one more bullpen arm, then roll with it.  Otherwise, gut this and rebuild the farm system.  I would be ok with either option.

Unless Eovaldi would be willing to shift to a dominant bullpen role I’m not really interested in him or Wacha. Plus the money Eovaldi gets will be starter money.

I say get a good DH. JD, Turner, Brantley (could you imagine Arraez and Brantley back to back against righties)

trade for a defensive SS who hits righties better than lefties (Farmer crushes left)

and then just stack up on bullpen arms (Rogers, Chafin, Green etc) and aim for the best pen in the league
