SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 6 runs in 4 home games against Texas. Brutal.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 I wonder if the Astro fans will boo Correa

Peter Verified Member Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Let’s hope for sweep by Houston-no way they win!!! Last time we played Astros it was massacre losing all 3 out scored 21-3 Yankees will finish twins off with 4 game sweep and games with Cleveland won’t matter. Heads need to roll this off season-as well blow this team up!!!! No heart/intensity-Rocco is to soft as is team. What a joke!!!! We deserve better the this. Honestly I’d rather see twins of old losing all the time then this shitshow
RpR Verified Member Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Well going back to the triple play, it was only good fortune that the throw to second did not go into center field, not a good game in any way.

Battle ur tail off Verified Member Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Ugly. 6 runs in four games. Come on girls get your heads out. Get swept in Houston and it’s likely done it real close to it IMO. How sad

Well.....it might happen, but I certainly won't be hoping for it.

RpR Verified Member Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Yep, I remember last year when so many would lament - we need more than solo home runs, small ball wins games - well, they quite hitting home runs.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 We must have the lowest winning percentage when turning triple plays in mlb history
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 The most sickening thing is that our shoddy pitching was real good during this series, and the rest of the team just wasted the good starts. When they don't need more runs, no problem. But when they do.... they don't show up. I used to be a wise man but being a Twins fan made me a chump.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 The veteran bats are almost all laying an egg this year. The team needs to start making an example of them with some benchings, regardless if the back ups are any good. There’s really nothing left to lose except playing time for younger, hungrier players.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 I think we've kissed good bye having Correia even think about coming back. Regardless of his own performance he's fed up with the way this team plays. He possibly has a few gems of wisdom he would like to impart on Baldelli. So next year, Correia will be gone, and Buxton will be going through his aches and pains, which forces him out of action. The young guys like Miranda, gordon, and such will find the going tough, as teams will be making adjustments. We'll see how good these young players really are.
