Is the site faster now, especially creating posts?

I move some stuff around last night and the site seems a lot snappier now, particularly while hitting submit on a post.

Let me know your experiences, particularly during game times or busy times. That's when we were seeing the system bog down the most.

I know, it's my biggest bullet point to address as soon as the kids are back in school.

We just implemented a new fix, let me know if this problem improves at all from your end of things.

After I click "Submit Reply" I routinely see it pause for 5-15 seconds. 

/ except, not this time - it was nearly instantaneous for the first time I remember in a long while

I think it's better but it's still not good. I suspect we'll still end up moving to a distributed server this offseason.

I've been having a consistent lag for about a week now. Sometimes longer than others. Replies are quickest. Going from the front page to the forum page has taken up to a minute to load.
