Boycotts not free speech

Tell me again why we shouldn't dissolve the Union? The eighth circuit says boycotts are not free speech...... inconceivable.

Yeah, that was a pretty insane opinion. Spending money = speech. Not spending money = not speech? It'll go to the Supreme Court but with this court, who knows. 

It might be better to guess the issue to figure out the law then relying on the law. Legal twitter is in disarray over how bad the courts have gotten.

The right has decided that they are going to decide what they want the law to be, now. Logic be damned.

This was a law that requires contractors to agree they won't boycott Israel.... Basically, compelling them to not act politically if they want government business. At least in boycotts, they can still donate money and spend resources, but somehow not spending is not protected?

Hmm … yeah, ok, I see … government shouldn’t be imposing that on anyone or making that a requirement for government contracts
