I still don't love LaTroy as an announcer, but he's certainly #2 on the list this year. Kaat is terrible, Morris is terrible, and anyone else that gets a shot this year will probably be terrible. Justin leaves a lot to be desired in the excitement role (as does Dick, imo), but I think he does a really good job at sharing perspective.

What a fantastic inning by the hitters after failing to take a game over last the past 2. Zero reason to use Pagan in the 9th now. Just give it to Stashak (I can't believe I just said this).

He tends to mumble once in a while, but he's both close to the game and the team. Hearing him urge Cano to use his two-seamer has lots of weight.

I like LaTroy with Dick because he seems to keep Dick's lesser qualities in check.  I like Justin and Roy but they both are rough on the ears.

Also, yeah, Kaat isn't terrible. Maybe not a great announcer, but he's still fun to listen to.
