Yep I sure love bringing those boy up from the Minor to see how they will do.

Well, I'm off to watch the Wild. Hopefully they are able to bounceback. Sweeping a 4 game series, even against a team as bad as Baltimore, is always a tough ask. Bundy struggling is concerning, and I didn't expect him to be any good, so I hope he doesn't have a super long leash a la Shoemaker. Still a chance to complete the goal of 3 out of 4 in what should be a good lineup tomorrow (although I wouldn't be surprised if Correa is getting a day off with Polo DH'ing tonight), and going up against a bad pitcher. Hopefully Archer can put together a good start.

Until tomorrow,

Go Twins

I don’t have much faith in bundy being effective all season long

I’m wondering how many pitchers have given up 9 ER to the flipping Orioles and kept their job all season. I’d venture none since Earl Weaver was the manager.

As if they had anything to do with this loss

I'm not really a fan of 2 shutout inning, 4 K bullpen outings either.

The Orioles took their series with the Yankees, including beating them 5-0.

If Gray and Ober are back soon, it's becoming pretty clear which starter should get bumped from the rotation.

Ryan, Gray, Ober, paddack, Winder

archer and bundy odd men out

Except for the 3 runs Miranda's error allowed.?

Subtract 3 from 9. Final 6-4. This is a Baldelli loss not a rookie 1st baseman

A Baldelli loss? You make no sense.

What part? Baldelli sending Bundy back out after surrendering 6 the inning before or the Miranda error which someone alluded to the reason the Twins lost

What part? Even by your logic the Twins still lose 6-4. It makes no sense to blame Baldelli for the loss because of 3 runs that weren't the decisive runs.

Eh, it was more a bundy/defense loss…but it’s horribly deflating to give up 6 runs, then immediately score 4 and get back in the game only to have the manager stick with a guy who clearly had nothing and who was about to face the top of the order. That was a bad decision and it led to them going down 5 which was essentially ballgame.

I'm pretty sure thats exactly what I'm saying. Another person said that rookies mistakes (Miranda) were the reason for the loss. My response was OK, if you want to subtract those 3 runs then the Twins still lose. My statement was that Bundy coming back out after giving up 6 runs the previous inning was a bigger factor than the error. Hence Baldelli

Again they didn't score anymore so they still would've lost. Instead of worrying about the minutia of every decision Rocco makes, in hindsight to boot, my focus is on the length of the leash. The entire management and front office staff weighs in, it's not just Baldelli. Quickly moving with the hot hand not just trotting out the underperforming guy in the role you had slated for him. Recognizing quickly when to cut bait. Minimizing loses. Bundy is pretty much solely responsible for 2 loses now. I don't want to watch that movie again.
