Game Thread: Twins @ Yankees, 8/22/21 @ 12:05pm CT - GAME POSTPONED!

Sorry Twins fans but the game today against the New York Yankees has been postponed due to hurricane Henri. Looks like it took an act of mother nature to save us from getting swept out of New York. Instead we got blown out and flew out before the Yankees could sweep us out. 

Maybe I'll write a baseball book about the Twins and Yankees matchups over the last few decades. It will be called: "Blown out, swept out and then we flew out". A total page turner of a book with in-depth interviews and recollections by former and current Twins players about their fears of playing the Yankees both at home and in New York.

There would also be great interviews and recollections by current and former Yankee players. Some of those recollections include Yankee players begging their manager to go into the batters box wearing blindfolds or using a broom stick to hit versus a regular bat...like I said a total page turner with lots of laughs and some really scary moments for Twins players squaring off against the New York Yankees.

By the way, the Twins are off Monday and pick back up with Boston on Tuesday (assuming the hurricane doesn't mess with that game too).
