Diamond's elbow

Mr. Brooks

I'm new here, so if this has already been hashed and/or rehashed, I apologize.

But, did we ever hear a legit reason from the club and/or Diamond on why they waited until December to have his elbow cleaned up?

I know initially their comment was that it was such a minor injury, they thought it still left plenty of time, but clearly that was not the case.

Is there a reason they had to wait? Was there swelling that had to subside? Was he getting second opinions?

Actually I believe the elbow flared up in November/December, but I don't know where I read that. He felt discomfort when lifting weights and some small chips and the "start of a spur" were removed.

This. He didn't have any issues in October and November, but felt some discomfort while lifting weights in December and got it check out.

I read it was jumping rope. Anyway, he didn't notice it until December.

He said he felt something first while jumping rope and then later in the workout while lifting weights it was worse (or not better or whatever).

The injury occurred in December, as he was ramping up to prepare for the WBC. They did the surgery two days after he reported it. This was not a case of rest and rehab first.
