2014 mb all star game?

So what is going to happen between now and 2014 when the All Star game comes to Target Field? You would hope they would add some pieces to the puzzle this winter and a few more to be a competitive team in 2014.

 

I hope they don't just rely on all the prospects that are supposed to be ready by 2014 to rebuild. Also, how long before we start hearing the Twins beg for season ticket holders and use the All Star game tickets as ransom?

they are also arranging their prospects for the futures games IMO.....

While, with a solid year this season, guys like Sano & Rosario could make their debuts this year.....they wont. Alex Meyer absolutely should make his, but again may be kept back for the futures game (tho he's been in one & may again this yr).

That will be the season when prospects like Berrios, Buxton & Keplar could also make their national debut.

 

With the game, MN isnt as worried about selling season tix as many are buying em up to get their All Star Game tix. How you could possibly watch this team in 13' for that one weekend shot is puzzlin tho.

I'd put the number of teams who blueprint their prospect progression around the Futures game at somewhere around -4.

Sano and Rosario will be starting in A+ this year... thinking that they could make their debuts some time this season is pretty silly. Given that Rosario missed quite a bit of time to injury and that Sano wasn't exactly lights out in A ball this year, thinking they should have been promoted is also silly.

 

I, for one, have no desire to watch prospects like Sano and Rosario struggle at the MLB level and waste valuable service time not performing because they are not ready. It is a poor way to manage a baseball team and a poor way to develop talent.
