Tough night for Berrios. Can't be giving up a 3 run lead like that. Twins will have to continue to scrap to get this one in the 'W' column. (again, don't let Castro bat with ducks on the pond again please)

And I don't think anyone, including me, thinks he should be a primary catcher. But to say he shouldn't be back as a backup, or that he has performed poorly this year as one suggested, just doesn't make sense to me.A

as a catcher,  get it now ?

May I strongly suggest you not looking away?

I'm using airport wifi. Not exactly secure so, I'll have to re-image this computer when I get back to work, just to make sure I didn't pick up anything nasty.

It doesn't make sense that someone would suggest that a .648 OPS and a negative WAR is performing poorly?

You're essentially saying that no player in MLB has performed poorly then.

That's league average for all positions, not just catcher.
In what way is a league average bat a "total liability"?

You're right of course. His second half has been poor however. His OPS since the All-Star break is .600 and he's hitting below the Mendoza line--.193.

Where?  Seriously, the guy has done everything asked of him and more... both with the glove and with the bat - who in their right mind would find fault that he doesn't hit the ball over the fence as often as Miggy or Boomstick?

There is a dedicated article about him...and there the critics ran wild. Mostly that there is no way he is a .340 hitter. Well this year he is and no one knows what next year will bring. Lets not hang him before he has a few seasons under his belt.

I'd like to also suggest the Twins getting some better quality starting pitching. But that can't happen until next season at the earliest.

that's amazing...i knew they played a lot of close games but winning 42 games by 0.095238095238095 runs each is truly out of this world

here I always thought it was the recycled air in the plane that made me sick and now I learn all I had to do was re-image my computer

Eh, I didn't notice that.  I read the first page of comments and they were very supportive.

Well done!

I'm pretty sure a good run in the play offs is worth more than in the regular season...

I will have to check but I still think a run is worth the same in the playoffs as the regular season
