Me -rather not see either one of them as a back up  next year at Catcher- 

I can't understand the intense dislike for Astudillo around here. Maybe I'm biased, but he was hands down the most popular player in Rochester last year and this. And he hit over .400....and was a sparkplug in the dugout from his very first AB. When he came up to Minnesota he was hitting everything. Yes, he has slumped a bit lately...but so have many others...and certainly Castro isn't contributing anything offensively. The Turtle can play 1st, 3rd. catchj and the outfield.

 

And the fans love him. His teammates love him. And you don't want a guy like this back?

And I don't think anyone, including me, thinks he should be a primary catcher. But to say he shouldn't be back as a backup, or that he has performed poorly this year as one suggested, just doesn't make sense to me.

Where?  Seriously, the guy has done everything asked of him and more... both with the glove and with the bat - who in their right mind would find fault that he doesn't hit the ball over the fence as often as Miggy or Boomstick?

all these Royals games are tight, Twins usually come through though
