But if he is looking for a fastball over the plate and gets it right away, why not swing?  I get it he has control issues, but if that's what you are sitting on, take a cut.  Cruz is good enough to put that in the gap or over the fence.

Because the way he was going even if he got a fastball for a strike he probably would have missed 2 or 3 times, which would have set Cruz up for a better pitch.
