Scheherezade Provisional Member Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Pretty ugly. 8-0.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I really hope that Miggy passes any drug tests and can win the Triple Crown (sorry, Joe Mauer). It's just amazing to watch him this season. I remember Yaz in 1967 but was too young to appreciate the rarity of his accomplishment. Incredible to watch him -- and after the fiasco of his lost weekend and then his DWI problems in Florida, its nice to think that there can be redemption.
snepp Verified Member Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 The regression hammer struck hard today.
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Anyone who thinks that the Twins will be decent next year should watch a replay of today's game.
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Blech. Oh well, at least it hurts the Whities. Now if only the A's could have done their part to damage the Yankees' playoff hopes.
Lesser Dali Provisional Member Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 As everyone know this ball club's pitching is atrocious. The lineup has some nice pieces, but has no soul to it. Let's say the Texas Rangers are the Marvin Gaye/Aretha Franklin/Sam Cooke of a congealed, productive, powerful line up. The Twins are the "American Idol" try out losers or David Hasselhoff's German music career.
snepp Verified Member Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Dead horse beating to commence.... Another 6 innings given to the bullpen today, there's no possible way they could have found one for Slama.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 The lineup has some nice pieces, but has no soul to it. I felt this way for several years ... as though they just never hit on all cylinders (or to a driving beat if we stick with music.)
