You Be the GM - 40-man Toolkit

I've been messing around with a few Web-Scraping tricks and will be posting "You Be the GM" tools for anyone who wants to use them

 

The first out is the 40-man Toolkit

 

 

Your best bet is to make a copy of the whole document so you can play around with it as you'd like

 

If you want to share your wisdom with everyone who uses the 40-man Toolkit, DUPLICATE the tab at the bottom named DUPLICATE THIS SHEET TO MAKE YOUR PROJECTION and name it the same as your TD name...I have one TVAGLE

 

Any text in the First Name column for each position will Count towards the 40 man

 

To DROP/DFA/Release/Das Boot a player off the 40-man you can delete their name, or as I did in my example, put text in the column right of a players last name

 

All Rule 5 eliglble players, according to Roster Resource, are listed in columns R-X

Copy and Paste them to the Active 40-man lists to add them to the total

 

(If you have a beef that someone like Alcala doesn't need to be protected take it up with JMart from Roster Resources...and don't add him to your 40-man

 

When you're all done the Blue box in cell C2 will show your 40-man total

 

Be sure to leave some room for all the Free Agents the Twins will sign this Winter

 

Take a Screen Shot of your 40-man roster and post it to the 40-man thread on TD

 

Additional Tabs for Current 25-man,40-man, and each Minor League roster Including Pensacola are provided
(These pull directly from MLB and MiLB Websites so should remain accurate and up to date)

 

Not into the new fangled spreadsheet magic feel free to type your 40-man predictions in a post
