nater79a Verified Member Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Now that we are only a handful of days from the Elizabethton Twins starting their short season I have been kicking around in my head on what the roster might look like initially. Most likely it will consist of some holdovers from last years team, some players from the 2017 GCL Twins and some new talent from this most recent MLB draft. Here are some of my thoughts on the roster construction. Obviously, the roster will be more robust than this but I'm just throwing out some names. Who am I missing? Some names that shouldn't be on this list? Have at it, tear it down and let me know what you think. nater79a Verified Member Posted June 11, 2018 Author Posted June 11, 2018 It appears Jordan Balazovic was called up Cedar Rapids and is dealing it pretty good today. Perhaps we won't see him at E-Town anytime soon if he keeps this up.
AZTwin Verified Member Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 yep. 7 innings and 11 k's is nice to see in his first start after a disappointing year last year

Hope he can stay in Cedar Rapids and if he keeps pitching like that we got a steal with that pick in the draft.

They'd want to slow play it for awhile. Seth mentioned that he had a great spring, however. Ted rolled with this tweet summarizing Balazovic's great outing:
Rosterman Verified Member Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 I would picture a few of the signees starting at Ft. Myers, or whatever their "draft pick" camp is before going to Eliz. Yes, be interested to see what movement happens as we approach mid-July in the system as a whole.
