gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 I didn't see a thread on this and I was gone most of the weekend but, yikes. Danny Farquhar had a brain aneurysm in the dugout and will be hospitalized for three weeks. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/04/white-sox-danny-farquhar-60-day-disabled-list.html
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Not just an aneurysm but a ruptured aneurysm in his brain, during the game. He's very lucky. Had this happened mid-air on a flight or while he was in his hotel room, alone, or anywhere alone, yeah, he'd be dead.

Blake Verified Member Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Oh my gosh! I pray the young man recovers completely.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Yeah he's not out of the woods yet. These things are no joke. Like Carole said, the fact he's even alive right now is incredible. Even 10 more minutes without trained professionals that knew what it was would have likely been fatal. Best of luck to him and his family. He's going to have a long fight ahead of him to a full recovery.
