Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 This is why most players only give standard cliches while being interviewed. And when they do that, we often hear condemnation of that, too ... he's lying, he has no personality, he's fake, lacking 'humanness.' Soooooo ... if you are in the spotlight for some reason, just say whatever because it won't matter ... someone is always going to take it whatever way they want to fit whatever they already think.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Times are ... tough here in the USAFChief household. So I decided to see if I could pick up some extra cash yesterday by doing an odd job or two. I went up to the rich part of town (here in Tucson, that's "The Foothills") and just started going door to door, asking if anyone needed any work done. Soon enough, a guy answered the door and told me he needed his porch painted. I offered to do it for $100 and he jumped on my offer. He had paint and supplies in his garage, and told me where it was, and to knock on the door for my money when I was done. Half hour later, I knocked on the door. "Well thanks," he said, as he handed me a crisp new benjamin. "To be honest, you could have charged me 3 times that amount. And by the way, I'm pretty impressed with how quickly you got done." "Well," I told him, "thanks. To be honest, it wasn't all that hard, and we really needed the money. By the way, it's not a Porch. It's a Ferrari."

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2018 Author Posted April 22, 2018 Castro better be light years better at fielding than Garver given how he's looked at the plate.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 C'mon Mauer, DO something for a change.

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Is it possible for Bert to cover a game without talking about a pitcher's balance point?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 So does Brian. To hear Brian tell it, his wife made him the millionaire he is today. From the multi-millionaire he was when he met her.

jun Verified Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 This guy Grossman really has no business playing in the big league. Let him bat 3rd in the lineup? Creative or stupid? He is just like Morrison and Castro. He is an automatic out. It really does not matter if he bats right or left.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Well, Hughes has settled down, which would be huge for this team if he can be a reliable #5 starter

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 I checked in on my phone and saw it was the second inning with a 2-0 score. I assumed that would be the high point of the game. Glad I was wrong.

If you had a conversation with every baseball fan in the world and if you made a list of all the players mentioned who have "no business playing in the big league" and those players were actually not playing in the big leagues. Contraction talk would be back and much scarier.
