Owners are hiring analytical baseball minds more and more. Presumably that means they are listening to what they are saying. If enough of them convince ownership that the product will be better with a couple more guys, they’ll buy it and pony up the money to make it happen. The two extra guys are likely to be lower salary. Like maybe in the $ 2 mil avg range. So, $4 mil extra per team. MLB hauled in $10 bil in 2016. I think they can spare some especially if it will make the product better and generate even more.
