Baseball Prospectus: How Many Games Will The Twins Win In 2018?

Baseball Prospectus editor Aaron Gleeman asked me to participate in a conversation about the upcoming Minnesota Twins season and, to both of our surprise, it was very optimistic. (So much so that I'm now wondering what the hell is wrong with me.) Check out our expectations and feel free to share yours on this thread.

Wouldn't be Gleeman without a shot at Ryan. I'll take the over on 83 wins and I think we could win the division.  Cleveland is going to collapse this year - two brutal post-seasons and the loss of Santana and their rotation has been ridiculously healthy the last few years. Their due for a rough season.

In the other prediction thread I threw out a round-number 90-win guess, and I'll stick with that here. A young team like this, with now some depth at every position except probably catcher, has just too wide a variation in possible outcomes. They could regress to a sub-.500 record, or they could collectively catch fire and win 100. So I'll somewhat split the difference and then round upward.
