Santana isn’t the first nor will he be the last to have his body not be able to sustain excellence simply due to the rigors of playing the game. Puckett’s situation is more akin to Lou Gerhig’s or Dave Dravecky.

This is an interesting case... I do tend to agree that there are a LOT of players who had HOF caliber seasons for a short span... not sure they belong.
