Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Only quibble about the lineup:If Molitor insists on having Joe in the top 4 of the order then why not switch him with Kepler. His historic OBP plays well batting second and Kepler is a lot more dangerous batting 4th. I suspect it would add more protection to Sano batting 3rd as well. Less likely to see a 4 pitch walk to Miggy. His .275 obp and .289 slugging screams cleanup hitter, not sure what you are looking at..
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Controversiality, even before the first pitch or is ChiTown avoiding chores??????? Yes. And spin is my brother.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Yes.If you'd quit PM-ing me I wouldn't have been ninja'd with this!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Could this game get postponed?Looking at the weather maps, I'm guessing for a 2:30pm game start ... maybe ... unless it keeps up, then postponed.
Jerr Verified Member Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Yes. And spin is my brot Yes. And spin is my brother. Not sure which is better: or or ........................
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Does anyone know who the starting pitchers are today? / pre-emptive ninja: "yes" / pre-emptive ninja: "no, Who's on first".
spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Could this game get postponed? No, maybe, yes.....it's baseball I've never understood why baseball treats rainouts differently than games suspended for other reasons. It is my understanding that a game that has 4 complete innings is restarted from the first inning if rain prevents further play but a game that has 4 complete innings is resumed from the point of stoppage if a power outage or other occurrence prevents further play. Also, if 5 innings are complete and rain prevents further play the game is official. If 5 innings are complete and stoppage occurs for other reasons the game is suspended. Correct me if I'm wrong and feel free to discuss further.

I'd rather they delay the start in the hopes of getting the whole game in without stoppage in the middle somewhere.

We need this game to start, so we can focus lol lol on it!!!!!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Woohoo ... we're getting started again ...
bighat Verified Member Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 2:15pm CT - according to the Twins beat reporters, tarp's off and the game is about to start! Let's go boys! PS: does it count as a sweep if one of the games gets rained out? ie: did Cleveland sweep us last weekend? Could the Twins sweep the Royals today?
snepp Verified Member Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Runner on for Sano, that's what I like to see.
