KidBro Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I see Alex Meyer starting for the Angels tomorrow. I hope he fares well. Not great AAA numbers at first glance, but FIP and K/BB ratio trending in the right direction.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Interesting. Spot start, as the Angels want to give their starters each an extra day of rest.

Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Wish I could watch. Blackout for me. I still want the very best for Meyer, hope he does great.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 I actually thought about adopting Meyer and Hu in adopt a prospect. Then I realized I was too lazy....but a thread of "who they let go" the last 4 year or so might be interesting. OTOH, it might just be a bunch of whining, another reason I didn't.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 More of the same from Meyer. Mostly cruised through 2 innings then got in trouble with 2 walks and a wild pitch in the third, leading to 2 runs, and 2 more walks in the fourth. But luckily a reliever stranded the bases loaded! 3.2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 5 BB, 3 K I'd guess he is headed back to AAA after this spot start.
