Diana Moskovitz of Deadspin has been on top of this story over the last year or more. On Friday she wrote a well-researched, thorough article about the rape culture that was present at Baylor University under their former football coach Art Briles.

I don't see any benefit letting this university continue to operate and participate in athletics. Burn this place to the ground.

We also need to just completely turn these matters over to the police.  It seemed like some of this was intentionally being lost in the exchange of the case back and forth.  Much to the detriment of the victims.
