Platoon Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 A lot of people like to blame Molitor for 25 man roster moves and I bang my head when I see that because it's the GM's job to create the 25 man. it's his call, not the manager. I agree and always have thought the same. That said, Molitor has brought some of this on himself by using the words "I" too often when discussing moves. Those comments certainly gave me the impression that he had an inordinate amount of input into the roster.
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 There was a lot spoken and little said here. But I want to comment on one point Molitor brought up. If I interpreted him right he thinks playing Sano at third, catching Murphy, etc impact the other players chance to win. Those players had a chance to win, it was called "The first half of the Season". (As I am typing this, I just found out Robbie G. is hitting in the 3 hole. Of course he gets a a 2 run single) . Everyone who thinks RG is a three hitter, and improves the teams chance of winning, raise their hand!

Molly should be able to milk that for the rest of the season to keep Sano off 3rd.

twinssouth Provisional Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Didn't have anything decent to say about Gonsalves and Stewart nor inspire much confidence on the future, I'm sure this will go over well with next years ticket sales. Pretty much a flat line interview.
