Yeah... He has hit very well... No doubt... I can't help but wonder if he could have hit even better with a normal set up.

I doubt it. I'm sure at some point in his career coaches tried to get him to use a more traditional stance/swing, only to give up and let him hit in the way that feels natural to him. Some people are just like that - they only succeed when they are allowed to be unconventional.

Could be... Although I will never understand how that feels natural. If that's natural... He probably eats dinner with his feet.

That's a great question, but a question we will never get an answer to. When I was in my early teens, there was a guy I played with that had a somewhat similar batting set up... he had some power, but couldn't hit worth a "bleep". I guess Ichiro could fall into this category - but it is a bit of a different story. I guess these guys pop up from time to time. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

On top of that the hose are not looking sharp. De Aza bumbled that play allowing an extra base. Earlier Rameriz was flat footed on a grounder.
