Platoon Verified Member Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Cleveland had three hits, including a double and triple, and a BB and scored one run. Dick said Albers struggled a little bit.

D. Hocking Verified Member Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 I checked with Apple, my sarcasm ap is covered by my extended warranty. . There sending me a new one in the mail. This is the board that had a detailed discussion on Oregon Trail and tells jokes that Bob Hope probably used in his WWII tours. I am not sure everyone is going to understand what an "Apple ap" is.
big dog Verified Member Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Pretty solid 1 2/3 innings for Tomlin there. Solid in terms of throwing balls that hit bats, anyway. Would have liked to see him stay in against Sano.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Hope Albers can find something that works.

And if you are insinuating that the great Bob Hope stole his jokes from Chief, shame on you sir!
Platoon Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 nice catch by the fan! I thought so, at first I thought it was Robbie Grossman chasing a fly ball to left center, but when he caught it he gave himself away.
big dog Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Hope Albers can find something that works.Well, I liked that just as the three-run homer pitch was being thrown. Yup. 8-7 isn't going to make it tonight.
big dog Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Sure would suck to have Duffy or Berrios going tonight, wouldn't it? *#$@^
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Albers is throwing BP right now, heck of a catch by Schafer though.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 I have given up caring about the Twins. I watched that Vike preseason game Sunday, and the new stadiums is absolutely phenomenal, the defense was fierce, and it finally looks like Bridgewater is ready to lead us deep into the playoffs. I can't wait. Finally a QB of our own, not some import from WI! It's gonna be awesome. Who need the Twins anymore! My condolences.
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 . I always though ap was an abbreviation for Apple. . And if you are insinuating that the great Bob Hope stole his jokes from Chief, shame on you sir! My Grandpa used to do carpentry work. He was contracted to build something like an overhang, over a swimming pool, at Bob Hope's house. He noted how Bob Hope's family would scramble to leave when he got home, and noted one time where Bob Hope showed up unannounced (and a week early) and got all pissed because my grandpa had equipment needed to do the project out in the open. He kicked my grandpa's ladder into the swimming pool as he's ranting at him. My Grandpa never went back. He had a completely different experience when building a guest house on John Wayne's property.
Platoon Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 I am of mixed emotions. I would have loved to pitch just once in the MLB. At the same time, I feel sorry for Albers, he is completely in over his head. But he can always he pitched in the 'Show'.
Platoon Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 I wasn't a big Bob Hope fan, I always thought him smug. I liked guys like Skelton, and Winters. A little more sophmoric, (I can almost hear Vanimal keying in Skelton and Winters into Google)
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 The Lynx are still good though, right? too soon?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 No one would ever confuse with me a doctor, LOL I KNOW, but how does someone in their 20s dislocate their knee without contact? Regardless, teddy is done for the year and possibly longer. Such a shameful thing to happen to such a young promising player. And dummy kaepernick is still walking around. There's no justice!
big dog Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Geez, Schafer crushed that ball. That would have dented Otero if he hadn't throw his glove in front of his face.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 I can't possibly understand why Albers is pitching. I saw something today about Rochester's "playoff push" affecting twins call ups. If that's true, shows where this organization's head is at

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Think about it... something something something addition by subtraction something something somethingI guess we can suffer for two more weeks so Rochester can finish a few games out of the WC.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Wimmers looks alright, decent stuff and he keeps the ball down.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Danny Kaye and Steve Allen. Humor, heart, and brains.I can remember Steve Allen on the original Tonight Show. Very funny guy even for a young kid. Humor was a little different back then.
Platoon Verified Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 That in a nutshell is the Twins. When Buddy comes back we are going to have 3 THREE Indy players on this roster. On a team which supposedly had one of the top MiLB systems in baseball the last few years and is in rebuild mode. None of it seems to make sense.
