ANND Welcome back! To Minnesota Twins Whine Line on a Sunday. We had a TON of foot traffic at the Minnesota Twins Used Car Lot yesterday! Unfortunately the 1984 Kintzler Closer and 2010 Abad Lemon malfunctioned yesterday on their test drives, causing the Twins to lose in extra innings. Please come back and buy these cars other teams... We promise they don't always act up like this! For those like me that need a quick recap of what happened yesterday, check it out:

Today the Twins and the White Sox are at it again. Carlos Rodon will be pitching in his first game since July 5th, where he got roughed up against the New York Yankees. Before we dive into more shenanigans today, let's talk about weather and lineups.

It's going to be another beautiful day in Minneapolis. 80 degrees at first pitch, getting a little warmer as we go along. Wind from the SE at 8 MPH, with some GUSTS at 12 MPH.

Minnesota Twins (39-64):

P - Ervin Santana ® - coming off a complete game shutout! Is this is his last start in a Twins uniform?

Chicago White Sox (51-53):

P - Carlos Rodon (L) - 5 IP, 12 H, 5 ER, 3 K in his last MLB start on July 5th.

It's Sunday morning. I don't know about you, but on Sundays I like to jam out to music while getting prepared for the upcoming work week. So we're turning this game thread into 103.5 WHINE playing the HOTTEST HITS from whatever decade we feel like! All while talking about Twins stuff:

Jose Berrios Called Up: It's a LOVELY DAY this morning, and the wait will be over in 24 hours. Jose Berrios is leaving AAA to rejoin the MLB club. We don't know yet who's spot he's taking over, but who cares in this moment. We finally have appointment TV again every 5 days!

What about the others?: While the Berrios call-up is a great news story to wake up to, what about the others left in AAA, and AA? I'm talking about JT Chargois and Trevor Hildenberger. Chargois is the lone man remaining down in AAA with MLB experience this season that isn't injured, and he's still putting up video game-like numbers. Hildenberger has been a dominant closer at AA all season long, and should be considered for a cup of coffee this season. Our sources heard this quote from Rob Antony while he was speaking on the phone to Chargois... "Okay, so you have a 1.54 ERA in the month of July. That don't IMPRESS AH ME MUCH."

What activity is left before the deadline?: Hello darkness, my old friend... Is what Rob Antony is saying to his phone right now. Will it remain that way? Or are there more people on the way out over the next 24 hours? We have zero knowledge of what's going to happen at Minnesota Twins Whine Line, but that won't stop us from predicting who's out the door! Suzuki, Abad, and Kintzler are leaving a bleak situation in Minnesota for greener pastures soon.

End of Summer / State Fair: I envision every parent with young children is blasting this song knowing it's close to the time where the kids are heading back to school. That also means the Minnesota State Fair is right around the corner. I know I wanna go back for new State Fair food items! The Candied Bacon BLT, Cajun peel-and-eat shrimp, Beer Brat Buddies, and Deep Fried Grilled Cheese Bites look pretty dang good.

Let's go Twins!

I can't BELIEVE SeriusXM hasn't added Whineline to their lineup.

We proposed the idea but they didn't like our slogan:

103.5 the WHINE: You can whine to us, but we don't give a bleep.

Candied Bacon ?!?!?! http://www.godlovespeople.com/articles/hell_forever_and_ever.jpg

I know right? More than willing to try candied bacon.

There's another candied bacon item on that list where they put it on mini donuts as a "slider" of sorts. Sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen, but you only live once!

Actually, I would think that that is exactly what serius would want

We're also t-minus 5 days away from the premiere of Suicide Squad. Anyone have their tickets already?

Currently listening to the songs already released off of the movie's soundtrack. Pretty solid!

Another lineup, another day of DanSan taking ABs away from an actual player. I could MAYBE overlook this is DS was outhitting Kepler vs. LHP, but he's not. He's not even tickling .200.

Looks like my kinda movie !

Looks like Molitor has got his juggling act going.  Dozier DH, Polanco 2nd.

But fear not ... DanSan is patrolling RF for Kepler again today.

I'm going to a press screening on Tuesday. Been looking forward to this one for a long, long time.

The Indians are having an interesting day.

Acquired Andrew Miller from NY:

"n exchange, the Yankees received minor league outfielder Clint Frazier, left-handed pitcher Justus Sheffield and right-handed pitchers J.P. Feyereisen and Ben Heller. MLB.com ranked Frazier (No. 24) and Sheffield (No. 95) among the game's top 100 prospects in their midseason update."

AND

Had a deal for Jonathon Lecroy.  Cleveland is on Lecroy's No Trade List and vetoed the trade when

"the Indians would not only provide financial incentives for him to accept the deal, but also would not guarantee that he would be their everyday catcher in 2017, a person with direct knowledge of the trade told USA TODAY Sports"

The Indians had agreed "to send prized catching prospect Francisco Mejia, along with shortstop Yu-Cheng Chang, outfielder Greg Allen and reliever Shawn Armstrong to the Brewers for Lucroy."

Cleveland made a big mistake on Lucroy.....

On satellite radio you can say bleep instead of having to say bleep.

I hadn't heard that, I read he wanted his team option for 2017 taken off the contract which wouldn't make much sense for Cleveland.  Either way, I hope this opens the door for Antony to get Cleveland to overpay for Zuke.

Disappointed in Kepler not being in, but happy Polanco is up and playing.

On radio Twins interim GM said he would like to keep Santana, as he provides stability and gives those 6-7 innings.

I don't think we've fully appreciated Dozier's hitting in the last month and a half. I hope he can hit more consistently because I was getting fed up with the .200 version of himself.
