Per Rhett Bollinger on Twitter, Twins 11th round pick in 2015, Kerby Camacho (from the Carlos Beltran Academy in Puerto Rico) has been suspended 60 Games for use of a PED. Here is Rhett's Tweet:

His .093 batting average in the GCL means the PED snark just writes itself. :)

 

Too bad for him. Seems like players ought to be catching on that enforcement is a real thing.

Sounds like perhaps desperation in this kid's case.

 

It is kind of sad the huge number of broken dreams across the baseball landscape, or any lucrative pro sport: lots of kids think it will be their meal-ticket, and their family's as well, and it doesn't work out.

 

An attempt at a career in professional athletics, or a lottery ticket: which is the better investment?

Not that it matters but I wonder when and where he was tested, whether it was here in the States or back home in the PR.  Either way he can't really say he took it unknowingly because it's prescription based. Like so many illegal prescription drugs my guess is that it came from the Miami area, the stuff and influence is rampant down here.
