Terry Ryan came on the Twins broadcast last night and said Correa looks like a young Alex Rodriquez - but then said Buxton was faster... 

 

Agree at the plate, but A-Rod was an elite defensive player. Correa won't hurt them at shortstop, but he won't be making anyone forget Ozzie Smith or Andrelton Simmons.

A-Rod's defensive performance doesn't seem out of reach for Correa.  The only metric that covers A-Rod's entire SS career is Total Zone, which grades him out as 2 runs per season above average.  The same metric has Smith at 13 and Simmons at 21 (!).

I guess my point is, there is room for both to be great players, and I don't get the need to denigrate the Astros on this site, since it seems to have worked out pretty well for them.
