Whammy Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 We have a 5th minor league team to follow on a daily basis, but I'm pretty sure most of us would say we know the least about the players on the DSL Twins team, compared to our other minor league teams. So, who are the names to watch?
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 It would be great if we kept this forum thread open and someone would post some highlights every day so that we can start to find out which names to pay attention to. It's really hard to know. Other than maybe Huascar Ynoa, the top signing last year, it's impossible to know which of these guys will be good enough even to get to the GCL in a year or two.

So, who are the names to watch? Huascar Ynoa was the top international signing from last year. Jean Carlos Arias and Darling Cuesto were also 6 figure signings. Arias has had a good couple of games. Generally anyone born in 1998 is worth keeping an eye on.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Prospect status in the DSL is based pretty much solely on signing bonus. they're all just so young.

Wrong again Seth!Signing bonus tells who is most likely to make their way to EST in a year or two. BUT Prospect status in the DSL is based soley on the player's name and how cool it would be to have that player on the MLB team. For example:Jean Carlos Aria - I would enjoy rooting for someone with the name Jean Carlos(and he looks to be a decent prospect!)Therefore Jean Carlos is the prospect to hang my hat on
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Fair enough... We also want Zaino Henriquez to do well because after signing he did a nice interview with Jeremy Nygaard for Twins Daily and then was willing to answer our questions in the comments.
maxisagod Verified Member Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 3 Scoreless inning for Huascar Ynoa today. A hitless game for Zaino and Jean Carlos. Though I have to say if were going by name and age as guys were keeping a eye on... Darling Cuesto should be on the top of all our lists! The catcher had two hits today.
Bob Sacamento Verified Member Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Huascar needs to keep performing, I want to see him in GCL this season.
