I watched him throw one inning closing the super regional and his strike foot was consistently landing on the left side. Opening way up like that... you have to really adjust for strikes.

 

The Twins will have to try and fix this before he is ready for the bigs. Or else... I fear command or even injury will be an issue.

 

With that said... When you throw that kinda gas... I think he could be a future stud.

There is nothing in my post at all that consitutes "giving up" on him. Nothing. It is impossible to legitimately construe my post that way.

 

Clearly, I would not have drafted him, as I said immediately after the pick was made. But that's a separate issue. What concerns me about his debut is that the pick was justified based on the premise that he could move quickly through the system - a notion not exactly reinforced by his debut.

 

Nothing that constitutes giving up on him in your own mind, maybe, but for a person who is not entirely in touch with your thought processes and the context within what you've posted in the past might come to a different, entirely possible, conclusion about this:

 

You don't draft a college reliever that high if he is a project. I thought it was an awful pick and this certainly is not very promising.

Yet again, there is literally nothing whatsoever in anything I've said, including the last post, that even remotely resembes, in the most tenuous possible way, "giving up" on him as a prospect. You are deliberately exaggerating any critical comments as "giving up" on a player.

 

This kind of overreaction over differences of opinion is counter-productive... please stop.

Burdi had the initial rough outing, but outings #2 and #3 were both 1 IP, 1 H, 3 K's.
