Trying to explain announcers to non baseball fans. Said that Vin Scully announcing the play by play of you having sex while you're having sex would actually improve your performance while having sex.

 

Maybe I'm drunk but that sounds like the most accurate description of Vin Scully's voice.

The bats have been impressive, I actually have a feeling that Kubel and Colabello both could stick this year for sure, Colabello, though early seems to be hitting a stride, if the dude mashes that much at AAA, there is no reason why he can't hit against non elit pitchers in the majors!

 

The pitching....is a concern, but Nolasco will come around for sure. Can't ask for much more then going .500 on the road, especially when 2 of those 3 wins were against a playoff team!

 

Nice to see Hicks get that SF as well in the ninth, was worried he was going to fall into a deadly slump ala last year. Instead he battled back with two strikes and did his job, very very big change over last year.

 

Also can definitely get used to Mauer at 1st base, not only is he playing on a Sunday day game (a rarity in the past) but when he did...he was fresh and did well! I bet he hits .340 this year no doubt.

Gosh, i have yet to get this "watch the game" and seamlessly participate in the game thread down...

 

I had a bad joke based on 1000 that i mulled over for far too long after readin' the thoughts, then i got caught up in other stuff...

 

Let's see if i can remember it...

 

Beer-maker has made 999 batches of beer, and is about to make another, when is buddy asks if he's sure he wants to do that.

 

He responds... "sure! where's the harm in kilo-brew?"

 

Anyway... Hurray for 1,001 wince!

 

And 500! I like 500 too.

I'm lounging in a pool in St Maarten, drinking about a gallon of rum, and watching baseball.

 

This doesn't suck.

 

Also, need more rum.

 

We all hate your right now, too. Me, especially, because I just sat through 7 innings at Wrigley with the wind off the lake.
