  1. It has to be as clear to Adam as it is to me that Carolina is not winning anything in the two years that he has guaranteed. That is my only point. If it is true as Mr Musk pointed out that he had interest from two teams with a much better chance of winning, that furthers my statement. Adam was a great player for the Vikings. At the end here he and his wife seemed to take the way things went for him personally. It must not be clear to them that this business they are in is a full on meritocracy. I don't agree that the Panthers have a better chance at a championship than the Vikes in the next 2 years. Vikings 5%, Panthers 3.5%, lol.
  2. Look above ^^^ young master @nicksaviking
  3. Maybe. This looks to me like a recent, unexpected flare up for Polo. The Donnie Barrels signing had more to do with avoiding the extreme vulnerability against leftys they displayed last season.
  4. Couldn't he have gotten that money with the Vikes with a better chance to win? He picked a rebuilding team where he is the number one receiver. I don't know how many other offers he had though.
  5. I guess Thielen wants the ball more than he wants to win.
  6. I think so. Places like Merida, Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, and Queretaro are generally safe. Then the big resort areas like on the Yucitan and a big prosperous city like Puerto Vallarta would be good. Cabo. Down in Oaxaca. There are definitely some areas that you don't want to visit and I think it changes to. Plus when something does happen in an otherwise safe area, the main culprit for the victim is alcohol.
  7. Polo is one of the Twins best players when healthy. It is always concerning when a player goes through a long, non surgical rehab and when he tries to ramp it up has a setback. We don't know how this will turn out, many possible outcomes like Julien taking over second and winning the rookie of the year award!!!!!! Sign me up!!!
  8. Sorry this is overblown. There are many places to travel safely in Mexico. I've traveled there dozens of times and the people have always been welcoming. The food is amazing, my favorite. Just like anywhere else when traveling use some common sense and you'll be fine.
  9. Don't forget grape, you get stained purple 💜!
  10. The US could learn much from Latin players and fans about our sport.
  11. @Doctor Gastsaid "So anywhere I see anyone suggesting Lewis to play the OF, I will confront it." Sorry but I'm thinking quite the opposite. Last year when they had Correa locking up SS, Lewis was looking like the real deal and Buxton was already hobbled they should've put Lewis on a crash course of center field reeducation in St Paul. The guy has played center field before and has the tools to be very good there. @rv78said "Hope springs eternal for some. The rest of us can see the writing on the wall" There is no writing on the wall. Kyle Rudolph was injured very frequently his first three years in the NFL and was starting to be labeled injury prone. He then went on a 6 year injury free iron man run to finish out his Vikings career. You don't know the future. You can choose to be optimistic or pessimistic, your choice. If you are ever going to have a moment of optimism, spring is the season baby!
  12. I see the qualifying offer as a strong possibility. There is also Lopez to consider, he has been impressive in many ways so far.
  13. This way of handling starters by pulling them mid inning to avoid a long high pitch count inning, which could stress their arm, is a smart development. Bring them back out the next inning and craft exactly the ramp up you desire.
  14. I agree with this wholeheartedly. The guy is 6'2" and fit. Looks like an athlete to me. I'm gonna let this play out.
  15. Carlos Correa injured his ankle almost 10 years ago. It has been healthy since. Someone decided they don't want to risk $350m on it. Now not only does he have to answer questions about how it feels to miss out on $150m, he has to constantly hear about his "problem" ankle. He does handle it well.
  16. Here are Donnie Barrel's platoon splits vs leftys since he became a regular and broke out. 2019: .339 .382 .461 .843 2020: .350 .381 .483 .864 2021: .301. 344 .478 .822 2022: .301 .348 .422 .770. Not too shabby and a more traditional leadoff type hitter than, say, Buxton. Buxton is now more of a power hitter type that I would prefer further down the lineup.
  17. I'm guessing it has something to do with a relationship between the front offices.
  18. And to add to this^^^ For all the criticism the Twins management gets they were dialed in on how to use Rogers. That adept usage maximized Taylor's value.
  19. Twins Daily, dispelling myths, one myth at a time.
  20. If a guy, like Ober, is expected to be the next man up in the rotation, then he needs to be in St Paul working as a starter. Jacking these guys around like they did to Dobber a couple of year ago doesn't work. Now late in the year is a good time to work young starters into the pen for the stretch run. They can go back to being starters the next year.
  21. Don't forget Mahle was added last year as well. This team could be a lot better.
  22. I agree Mr Mod! People seem to sleep on Larnach, but the guy has a nice bat. He's pretty good in the outfield too. Gallo however is top notch and keeping him there would be best.
