  1. There are 10 contending teams in the NL. A #4 starter would help, by my count, 6 of them
  2. Getting back to the original thesis. Could he command a “nice haul”? My guess is a prospect who would rank somewhere between 20 and 30 on an updated Twins prospect list
  3. 0 fer 5 with 2 k’s? Maybe his plane from Florida to Rochester should have scheduled a two week lay over in Chattanooga
  4. Yes, Kirilloff with a cup of coffee this September, Gordon early to mid 2019 and a fourth and maybe fifth starter for opening day 2019 I stopped making predictions about relievers as I believe front offices use a combination of chicken bones and moon cycles to decide on the back end (lowest ranked as opposed to set up / closer) of the bullpen, but history suggests one or two high minor relievers might make it to the opening day roster
  5. You re right, Sir and I apologize for any confusion, I was respectfully disagreeing the grey part. I wish EE all the. EST, but not $18 per
  6. Great article, Jeremy. I sincerely doubt the Twins would receive anything close to your suggestions. I would be happy to be proven wrong, but I doubt either Dozier or EE would return a player that would crack the top 20 prospects list.
  7. I appreciate your opinions, but I disagree that EE is worth an $18 million QO.
  8. I think the line up is the last thing on their mind. Every day they wake up knowing they live in Rochester. It’s a great city to earn a PhD in that the city offers zero distractions
  9. "Great seeing Larnach on the field in Elizabethton.Always good to see a top prospect being productive in his first game." Amen. I hope I am wrong, but I don't think the Class of '18 will go down in Twins' history. The Classes of '16 and '17 will, in my humble opinion, define the future of the Twins
  10. Sincerely, do correct me if I'm wrong on any of the below points: 1. One area in which the Twins' minor leagues is stocked is middle infielders. 2. It is easier to move a SS to 3B than vice-versa. 3. As many posters have suggested, selling EE now would be selling high. Just my two cents, but if the Twins could get someone (anyone) who would rank around 20-25 on an updated prospect rating, I'd sell.
  11. At least two reports that Machado going to the Dodgers for the Dodgers' #4 prospect Yusniel Diaz. So, with the Dodgers "off the board", what would be Dozier's most likely destination should he be traded? Milwaukee?
  12. And going 1-3 AT Boston is likely, so that suggests sweeping at KC and 2-1 at Toronto is needed. If I had to guess, I would guess 4-6 and the garage sale would begin.
  13. I want to point out an obvious typo: you have Sano getting two BB’s. Miguel Sano... two BB’s. The Twins’ Miguel Sano. You have the right guy, right?
  14. Thank you for these articles. As you pointed out, despite the quality of the group, none of these prospects will meaningfully help the 2019 Twins. Sigh.
  15. May I attempt to summarize? Question 1: what will it take? Answer: a lot Question 2: should the Twins pay it? Answer: maybe Question 3: will they? Answer: probably not...
  16. Unfortunately, this is the same window for the Tigers and certainly the White Sox.
  17. Questions Why is the FSL so tough on power hitters? If one had to guess, roughly where might Urbina land in the Top 40? In a dated article, MLB ranked him the third best international prospect.
  18. Thanks- Do you mean #30 for the Twins? I note that whoever did the review dinged his change up. So, I am guessing they are holding him back until he develops a third (and maybe fourth) pitch.
  19. And recall that most of Leach’s experience comes against Canadian high schoolers. It’s ok. I can write that. I was once a Canadian High Schooler myself...
  20. This was the best Top Prospect summary I’ve seen in a long time. Twins in ‘22!
  21. I take your point, but would you really trust the Pohlad’s to turn around and use the accumulated monies? Perhaps a better baseball historian than I can recall Charlie Findlay’s great sell off. And, I believe one can trade a player for cash.
  22. But, in past years, he would have to stay with the new team for the length of his contract or get traded back. This is the first time he knows he CAN come back as a FA
