  1. Yeah . . . if they develop a theme and get some clutch performances over the last 2 months, a division crown is not out of the question for the Francona led Guardians.
  2. Gallo trying to keep his average above .175.
  3. Definitely had the gopher ball in his repertoire today.
  4. The Mariners have been hammering fastballs up in the zone, why do we keep throwing them to them.
  5. If the Twins are going to extend the quality of the bullpen it will probably have to come from outside the organization. The injured arms coming back may not perform as before (other than Thielbar) as they don't have a track record of major league success. There are probably only 2 minor league relievers worth a look and thats Kody Funderburk (LH) and Reggie Grace (RH), maybe lefthander Michael Boyle. Everybody else just allows too many baserunners. Keuchel has pitched well enough at St. Paul but is probably ramping up arm strength and endurance. Also, I don't like the way acquiring other people's arms has turned out for this front office: high price paid with questionable performance and or health in return. The What-Are-You-Crazy choice would be to promote Marco Raya to throw some late inning darts, but would that interrupt his development?
  6. Ummm ... well ... ok. If I'm Rocco I still get the yips when I'm pushing the Pagan bullpen button.
  7. That last Mariner run: HBP, HBP, HBP, wild pitch. I don't think I've ever seen that and I don't think I want to see it again.
  8. This is the most competitive I've seen the Twins on a west coast swing in a long time. Eddie Julien . . . holy moly.
  9. At 6-8 250, Carson McCusker is Aaron Judge size (6-7 282). Those are 2 BIG baseball players.
  10. I think if Buck starts playing CF it will also be a morale booster for the team. It would be awesome if he can play CF and it leads the team to a good second half and division crown. The post season is a crap shoot.
  11. Gump "Curly" Worsley. Always enjoyed Northstar games when he was in the net.
  12. Yeah, we could say it was Pat Hughes who called him A's All-Star Brent Rooker.
  13. I love that, knowing those two its half dig.
  14. I couldn't recall the incident or player, but was referring to the bitten one as "Old One Ear" . . . you see.
  15. Can't recall that. I remember Mike Milbury going into the stands vs the Rangers and clobbering a guy with his own shoe. God I love hockey. 😀
  16. Man, I live in Bruins territory now but have never been able to convert to Bruins fandom. I still haven't forgotten what Dave Forbes did to Henry Boucha.
  17. Just like we all predicted, Brent Rooker ... All-Star, and he hits a double. Congrats to Mr. Rooker, though I'm sure playing for the A's this year leaves a little to be desired.
  18. Actually, 2 players from the 2021 draft, Matt McLain (CIN) starts at shortstop and Henry Davis (PIT) is getting starts in right field, and from the 2022 draft Zach Neto (LAA) was the starting shortstop before getting injured. A very fast track for these guys who are holding their own at the MLB level.
