    Yeah good take. My feeling, especially with our top 3 struggling and / or hurt, is that our 3rd piece might have to be more than org filler, given the struggles / injuries of our top 3. More than anything, it provides a wee bit of context into what it might take relative to previous trades.

    I’d feel an awful lot better if Royce rakes for a month and got a promotion before end of year.

    He might be our 9th best option when everyone is healthy. This is what we’re choosing to complain about? Our 9th best hitter who strikes out a lot but still has a 124 ops+? G’damn this fan base is impossible to please.

    I’m choosing to think they have a deal in place for Scherzer and Washington has said Kirilloff and Graterol and Duensing and the deal will consummate when WSH falls X GB in the WC.

    Yeah to support group. I wanted to believe Falvine that the team would go all-in when the window was open. The window is open. This would have only cost money. I understand that there's still the trade market. And it's a buyers market with so many tanking teams. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised by what "all-in" means in the next 6-8 weeks. Maybe Kimbrel will pull a Darvish. Just once I'd like us to go for it, though.

    After the Twins sweep the tribe, the nats swat aside the white sox, our lead will increase to 14.5 games. We'll fall to 7th in national power rankings.
