  1. This Pagan thing has grown tiresome...

  2. I'm partial to Tony Os cuban myself. If I have the time, the Red Cow sliders are my go to though. But they're literally about as far away as you can get from my seats, so they aren't something I'll get during the game unless I'm really craving them.
  3. His pitch arsenal plays much better in relief than as a starter. He looks like he can definitely stick with a bullpen role.
  4. Hard not to figure out what you're dealing with, especially with context! Thanks for the links!
  5. Haha, Stuff+? That's awesome. Hadn't heard of that one yet. But, I'm not one to dive deep into advanced metrics. That might be my new favorite though since it sounds so generic and made up! ?
  6. I think ultimately it might boil down to how the rest of the pitching staff shakes out. I think both have the resume to make the squad, so it might come down to the need of reliever vs starter.
  7. Nice series win. Good momentum heading into a 5-game Cleveland set. Even a healthy-ish looking Buxton makes this team so much better. I'm glad the extra days off instead of an IL stint appears to be working in the teams' favor.
  8. Everyone has been clamoring for more competent relievers, so we cloned one!
  9. No, so you can bring me pie and we can all partake together instead of constantly taunting me with all of this pie talk!
  10. Nice bounce back game after yesterday's debacle. Now let's get another W tomorrow and head into the Cleveland series with some momentum.
  11. The bats absolutely have to get going. And going consistently. The focus has been on the bullpen, which isn't good, but this team can't score consistently. If the offense was as good as expected, this team would still have a decent lead in the division.
  12. Salvaged one in this series, got 5 more next week!

    Bring on the Rockies!

  13. And that's fair. Probably too late for that at this point unless is gets worse though. He clearly wants to stay on the field and that's why he is fine with how they're approaching it. Tendonitis isn't a quick thing to get rid of. Especially in the knee. In my experience with that, rest and pain tolerance is about the only thing that can be done.
  14. He's also said that he's fine with how they're managing his playing time due to the knee issue, acknowledging that it's keeping him on the field and off the IL. And that's likely because he likes the IL even less.
  15. I think this article shows the brilliance in the creativity involved to get a deal like this done. And that goes for both parties. Buxton is a unique situation where he's a superb talent, but also one that has missed significant time. Buxton has always bet on himself, and this contract is another example of that. Kudos for both sides seeing the reality of the situation and getting this done and hopefully it continues to reap benefits for both as well.
  16. Let's start summer off right...with a win over Cleveland!

  17. Nice write-up, Ted. Having not seen the game, that's a nice look at a pretty critical spot. The inability to throw would be base stealers out will always drive me nuts. But, seeing as that nobody runs anymore, that's not as important these days. May as well take advantage of pitch framing while you can.
  18. Of those listed, Sano is easily the most expendable. Problem being, he's also the one with the lowest value. Assuming they aren't sellers, it makes no sense at all to trade Correa. With Lewis out, there simply isn't another player to step into that role for a playoff caliber team.
  19. The inconsistency with the bats is wearing on me. For the most part, the pitching is still doing their job. But the bats disappear about as often as they put it together.
  20. That series could have gone better.

  21. And the bats go right back to being ice cold. The pitching gave up 4 HRs, which is one fewer hit than the Twins bats mustered. Not a recipe for success.
  22. Bundy goes 8. As expected. Nice to see the bats break out. Now do it again!
  23. Welcome back, Kirilloff!

    Hopefully you're back for good!

  24. You've been hanging out with the wrong goats then!
