  1. It was not. The real question is what wine and/or dessert pastry you paired with it?
  2. I had leftover pizza...so, there?!
  3. That was more of an adventure than it probably needed to be. Tough play hit right at you though.
  4. Ones playing,the other isn't. Gordon.
  5. If you do the math, you'd realize that neither did any!
  6. Didn't see that news. Though, I was thinking more long term than the question posed was intended. Do we think Maeda continues his run?
  7. My bet, and preference, would be Maeda to the pen.
  8. Given the feast or famine nature of the offense, I think I'd be more inclined to mix and match more now that Polanco is back.
  9. I'm no more concerned now than I was leading into the season. I think I'm more concerned with how inconsistent the bars are. It's feast or famine with nothing in between. I do expect Correa and Buxton to get going, assuming they can stay on the field. Similar to last season, I think this team will go as far as the young players will take them. I think Larnach and Kirilloff will be huge for this lineup. I'm not sure what to expect from Polanco at this point.
  10. Exactly. Even longer term through this season, I think guys like Kirilloff and Larnach are going to be, and need to be, much more impactful than Polanco at this stage of his career.
  11. Gallo activated, Garlick sent down.
  12. That would be a very welcome development. I'm not sold that we'll every see the Polanco of old, but the bats need an infusion and he's capable of providing it.
  13. Nice to see Kirilloff racking up the hits. Good to see both he and Polanco in St. Paul too. I like that Enlow had an efficient outing. The start was a good one to build from. And I agree with @ashbury, I wish they'd give Ober some more leash. Maybe they're limiting his pitches after an injury year, but I don't remember reading anything to that effect.
  14. Fanning 26% of the time nets you 7th in the AL? Middle of the pack. Out of everything in this post, that's what stuck out to me. That's crazy. Welcome to modern baseball, I guess.
  15. I'm a bit skeptical that we'll see the Polanco of old, but I do think he'll be a positive add when he comes back. If nothing else, it adds depth and pushes bench players back to the bench instead of starting them. For me though, Kirilloff is going to be the biggest linchpin in how this offense goes. If he can come back healthy and produce from 1B, I think that's a big boost to the offense. I think this offense will go as far Larnach and Kirilloff will take them.
  16. Reminded me of the Buerhle v Silva matchups of old. A thing of efficient beauty!
  17. If I'm going to get out dueled by someone, I could do considerably worse than Gerrit Cole. I'll take a series split in NYC any day. That's not an easy feat for any team.
  18. I'd say he was more of a savvy signing than a diamond in the rough. He's been a pleasant surprise for sure. I hope he's able to keep it up over the long haul. He'd make for a nice bench player when Kirilloff comes back.
  19. Do we know where Kepler is actually at healthwise? I don't think I've seen anything regarding where he's at. I think Wallner has to be sent down. He's not looked good at the plate in my opinion. Lynn toyed with him Tuesday night. I also think that Garlick getting DFA'd is the logical step when Gallo comes back. Knowing oblique strains though, that may not be for a while and a lot of things can happen between now and then.
  20. I did even better than that. I checked in to find the score and immediately turned it right back off. I couldn't handle it.
